how can Jade get a good shot for her avitar? Jade keeps trying but not good enough as yet and the ones im seeing are great..cant get a good close -up

Hiya Sandy, if you are using a mac you can't get one yourself, if pc then you find a spot to stand and use your right mouse button to move the camera angle around to get your front in view.. just keep moving it to try and get as close as you can to your face. For close up, take screen shot then send it to your documents. You can crop it there. If you need any help let me know. I can take a close up for you, then send it your way.

Actually if you have a Mac it is extremely simple using the Grab utility that you will find in the utilities directory of your applications folder. (I know you don't have a Mac Sandy so no point you reading the rest of this post)

Grab allows you to select,capture and save any area of the screen which avoids the hassle of trying to find your grabs and cropping, resizing etc.

Don't know if Vista has similar software as standard but am sure there is something you can download for PC that works in similar way.

thanks suez and slater ,but as you said i have no Mac sooo suz if ye could help me out id be thankfull.ive taken so many pics of meself that i fear me friendly pirates will soon be talking...sigh

this is an old posting, so I assume you found a way by now Sandy. But in case you didn't notice, you can also go to test (beta) and use the new zoom feature... mouse wheel now zooms in on your pirate when standing still, instead of the old function of spinning the weapons options like a one armed bandit. Of course, test was back before ye took a sword to your lovely locks, but ye would still be recognizable, and the picture could brighten up the bunks of lonely sailors on long sea journeys...
